Partner spotlight: GA Groundcare

Proudly celebrating their 10^th anniversary in 2024 are FSI UK partners for Wiltshire and the surrounding counties, GA Groundcare Ltd. Founded by Ashley Stevens at the age of just 25, the company has gone from strength to strength, firmly cementing themselves as one of the country’s leading arboricultural specialist dealerships.

Focussing efforts on Arboriculture

After joining an agricultural dealership at the age of 18, Ashley progressed into a sales role representing an array of groundcare franchises, including GreenMech woodchippers. This foundation of technical knowledge, combined with youthful enthusiasm, sparked the desire to establish his own dealership in 2014 for the sales and servicing of commercial mowers and woodchippers. Fast forward three years, GA Groundcare Ltd was approached to become an approved GreenMech distributor.

In the few years that followed, Ashley and his team decided to focus their efforts further towards the arb market, and in 2021 made the decision to step away from commercial groundcare equipment.

Market leading product with market leading aftersales

Now operating from their purpose-built depot in Devizes, Wiltshire, Ashley explains how the FSI franchise has been the perfect fit for their arboricultural offering. “I’ve always regarded FSI Stump Cutters as the market leader and were delighted that, with the changes in their route to market, we could add a range of stump grinders into our portfolio. After meeting with the Schmidt family and building on the great relationship we already had with UK Sales Director Lee Hatton, it was clear FSI was the franchise for us.”

In addition to sales and servicing, GA Groundcare Ltd also stock a range of FSI spares and parts via their online webshop.

“FSI compliments our core business perfectly, with no overlap of products between manufacturers” Ashley adds. “We deal with hundreds of tree surgeons, with a large percentage of them either owning or operating a stump grinder. The team and I are excited to be able to offer them the market-leading solution.”
